Dan Mote is an eager world traveler, criss crossing the globe in search of more opportunities to give from Maryland. Ties with China seem to be a special interest to him, and he’s worked for a long time to entice the People’s Republic Of into locating a tech park in College Park. And he recently succeeded!

After all these years, China will bring even more of its operatives to our area, citing its keen interest in gaining access to our “research facilities.”
Of course, we’ve had research facilities for all these years too. What sealed the deal now?

What a coincidence that hard on the heels of the official openings of IARPA here in College Park, and the likely leaking of collateral even if un-publicized news about the intelligence community’s Linguistics center having located here, that PRC cements a deal for a tech center … in College Park.
One might wonder just what access to “research facilities” they really have in mind …
