Bedbug outbreak on campus … just what parents love to hear during yield season, when administrators are intent on convincing admitted students to confirm with College Park for the fall.

“It’s not just that an exit sign is down, it’s not just that someone decided to vomit in the hallway, it’s that all those things are associated with a price tag,” Brasty said. “Someone has to be paid to clean that up.”

At least that advertising message (under the headline Valdalism may lead to higher Commons Rent”) isn’t being widely circulated around regional media like the bedbug note.
